Te Ataarangu are hosting three wānanga reo in a marae experience. Its a  time to surround yourself in the culture and lifestyle of marae living with an overnight stay. The marae is a place of gatherings that brings families, communities and tribes together.

The first wānanga starts today at Onetahua, which I appreciate is probably too late notice for most. The next wānanga is at Te Āwhina marae in Motueka on the weekend of Nov. 30 – Dec. 1.  The third one is an overnight stay at Whakatū marae on Tues. 3 Dec. and will finish at 8am the following morning to allow people to go to work from there.

It would be a good opportunity to form a small group to support this kaupapa. Please contact Te Ahu Rei (contacts below) if you’re interested and feel free to pass this on to other interested people.

Dates:
Onetahua – Oct. 10-13 (4 days)
Te Āwhina – Nov. 30-Dec. 1 (2 days)
Whakatū – Dec. 3 (overnight) pānui below
