DESCRIPTION:John and Hilary Mitchell \nwith support from\nWakatū Incorporation invite \nThe Chair\, Trustees\, Members & Staff\nof Ngati Tama ki Te Waipounamu Trust \nto the launch of their book\nHe Ringatoi o Ngā Tūpuna: \nIsaac Coates and His Māori Portraits\nat 5pm on Wednesday 18 August 2021\nat the Trafalgar Park Pavilion\,  Trafalgar Lane\, Nelson. \nIsaac Coates lived in New Zealand from 1841 to 1845.  During that time he painted portraits of 58 Maori people\, most from Te Tau Ihu.\nThe book tracks Coates’s life\, and provides biographical details of his subjects where they can be reliably identified. \nWe’d love you to come to celebrate the occasion \nRSVP by 11 August 2021:  hjmitch@xtra.co.nz  or 0274 776 030 or 03 546 6698
