Kia ora koutou,

Project Moturoa is full steam ahead for a June start.  Applications are still open.  The course starts on 15 June, however there is a window of a couple of weeks where participants can join the programme.  There are 12 students enrolled which is great, and room for more.  This is an amazing opportunity for Maori learners to be exposed to a conservation programme with a strong focus on Te Ao Maori.  This is a fees free eligible programme which is full time, with a mix of classroom, field, and marae-based learning.

Please encourage whanau to enrol online here https://www.nmit.ac.nz/study/programmes/kaitiaki-whenua-trainee-ranger/

A handbook outlining the course programme can be found here https://www.nmit.ac.nz/assets/Uploads/Forms-and-guides/Supporting-documents/Moturoa-Project-eHandbook.pdf  and is also attached as a PDF.

If you or someone you know who would like to enrol have any questions and would like to speak with the programme coordinator directly, please contact Pene on pgieger@doc.govt.nz or phone 0223119458.
