Te Āwhina Marae
Te Āwhina Marae is located just outside of Motueka in the Tasman Region. The marae belongs to Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Rārua and Te Ātiawa and lies in the shadow of two maunga, Pukeone and Tuao Wharepapa.
The whare tūpuna is named Turangāpeke, the wharekai is Te Āwhina (1958) and the whare karakia is named Te Ahurewa (1897). Te Āwhina connects ancestrally to the waka Tainui and the awa Motueka. The kawa for the marae is Tae Nga Kawa.

Whakatū Marae
Whakatū Marae is located in Taitapu Bay, Nelson. The marae connects to the iwi Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Rārua, Te Ātiawa, Ngāti Koata, Ngāti Toa Rangatira and Ngāti Kuia. Whakatū is the southernmost marae associated with the Kingitanga movement.
The whare tipuna is named Kākāti and was opened on 1 April 1995. Whakatū connects ancestrally to the waka Tokomaru, the maunga Maungatapu and Tuao Wharepapa, and the awa Mahitahi. The kawa of Whakatū is Tu Atu Tu Mai.
