Ngāti Tama Support
Ngāti Tama have three streams of financial support available to whānau.
Manaaki Grants
If you think there are exceptional other circumstances that we should consider in supporting you with a financial grant then apply for a Manaaki Grant – up to $500 per annum.
Covid-19 Relief Grants
If you are experiencing hardship due to loss of income because of Covid-19 then we may be able to support you with a financial grant under our Covid-19 Relief Grant.
Winter Energy Subsidy
The Trustees have approved an energy grant payment of $100 per household where a registered member lives. One payment per household, even if several registered members live at the same address. This grant is for those whānau who haven’t already received firewood from Ngāti Tama this year.
To apply for the grant simply email or post us a copy of your most recent energy bill (power or gas). Ensure the bill you send has your address and account number/ICP number as per sample 1 and 2 below.
Ngāti Tama will then credit your account with $100. We will be making one bulk payment to energy companies each month, so it may take 2-3 weeks for the payment to appear on your account.
